How To Opt-Out Of Annoying MTN Subscription That Deducts Your Airtime

It’s no longer news that MTN has been deducting people’s airtime without them knowing what they subscribed for. Some people even subscribed to some MTN services they don’t know anything about only to discover that anytime they recharge, N50 is being deducted from their account.

Whether you subscribe for any of the MTN services intentionally or unintentionally, MTN will always re-activate/auto-renew the subscription after validity which you may not wish to do and it could be annoying especially if you want to use your airtime for other stuff.

1. Dial the code *123*5*1#.

2. Reply with 2 to view your active subscriptions.

3. Reply with the serial number of each active subscription shown and that you want to opt out from.

4. Reply with 1 to unsubscribe.
If you have multiple active subscriptions, then repeat the process and select any active subscriptions to unsubscribe from.

It’s easy and fast. Anytime you notice any unhealthy deduction from your account, quickly check to see that you’ve cancelled all active subscriptions.
And that is all you need to stop receiving all those spammy messages from MTN.

Please, note that this works only on MTN.

Hope this helps…you can also share this post with your friends.
